Return Policy
Returns due to customer error or parts no longer needed
If you are not satisfied with a product, contact us within 90 days of receipt. A refund may be arranged excluding freight charges. Returned merchandise must be shipped in original packaging, freight prepaid, unused, and in resalable condition. Terex inspects all returns and reserves the right to refuse credits on damaged, misused or non-resalable items. Upon receiving a return authorization, the customer must include a packing slip and include the return authorization number on the external package.
The approved return authorization will be the final determination as to whether a part is eligible for return.
Return due to Terex error
If incorrect parts are sent by Terex or ones including damaged in freight, the customer needs to notify Terex customer service within 10 working days of receipt of the product. Upon receiving a return authorization, the customer will receive all the necessary paperwork to return the product and/or Terex will arrange pick up.
Any product damaged in transit while using the customer’s freight account (i.e. 3rd Party or Collect) is not the responsibility of Terex and should be filed as a claim to the freight carrier.
Restocking fee
All standard returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee unless the return is due to a Terex error.
Any returns without a packing slip or failure to reference a return authorization will be assessed a 30% restocking fee
Return requests after 90 days
Terex reserves the right to authorize returns after 90 days, subject to approval and subsequent agreement from the Commercial team.
Credit/refund will be based on the original invoice value of parts excluding freight.
All items returned without a return authorization or without prepaid freight (no COD returns) will be returned to the customer freight collect.
Products excluded from returns
- Part number with extended net value of less than $25
- Hardware including fasteners, washers, nuts, bushings, snap rings, shims and springs
- Decals
- Opened seal kits, o-rings, and seals
- Refurbished, rebuilt, or obsolete parts
- Any used or installed items
- Bulk wire or cable/tubing – any cut-length goods
- Custom painted parts and weldments
- Fiberglass parts and covers
- Perishable parts
- Batteries, Hazmat goods to include Oils and Oil products
- Electronic controls and circuit boards – programmed boards, non-programmed boards are accepted
- Tubes, hoses, valves, cylinders, and pumps - acceptable for return only if capped and free of contamination
- Non-stocked parts
Return Window
All returns must be received within 30 days of the Return Authorization date or the authorization will be refused upon receipt.
