Chance Fiberglass Extension Arms are constructed of Epoxiglas®. The extension arms are designed for use on voltages up to and including 15 kV where reconductoring or insulator replacement is necessary. The Epoxiglas Extension Arms can be used on voltages up to 34.5 kV providing the wireholders are fitted with M48057 insulators. The Extension Arms are suspended under the crossarm by brackets to enable to conductor to be removed from the original crossarm and placed in the wireholder mounted on the extension arm. Standard extension arms (2-1/2" X 6') and conductor holders have a maximum verticle loading of 150 lbs. per holder. Heavy Duty extension arms (3" X 6') and conductor holders have a maximum verticle loading of 150 lbs. per holder. Tested per OSHA & ASTM F711.
